Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Ban Passes with Phase-in Extended to 2029

The Board of Trustees voted to approve a gas-powered leaf blower ban on June 9. They voted to extend the phase-in period by another year. The full ban will now start in 2029. 
2026 -Gas-powered leaf blowers or internal combustion leaf blowers will only be permitted after Labor Day and continue through January 1, 2027…between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, prevailing time. (Bans them on weekends.)
2027 –  2028 The same will be permitted from November 1 through December 21. Properties of 90+ acres held in common ownership for common purpose will not use the same within 100 feet of any residential property line. (Gas-powered leaf-blowing in the spring is eliminated and starts after Halloween in the fall. Still banned on weekends.)
2029 – As of January 1, 2029, the same are not permitted. (Total ban.)
